The Muzzy Performance Products ZRX-1100 is a show case for the kind of horsepower that can be purchased directly from Muzzys (view the ZRX1100 Dyno comparison.) Years of experience with the ZX-11 (ZZR-1100) transfers easily to the ZRX, which is very similar (but not identical). Starting right at the core of the engine, there is no substitute for cc's so we've selected a 3mm increase in stroke coupled with a 1mm overbore for an 1136 cc displacement. This combination has shown itself to be extremely reliable and is the same as used in Muzzys' fuel injected, nitro methane burning, 300 mph Bonneville streamliner engine. The pistons are Muzzys exclusive design. They are lightweight and forged in a 77mm bore size. The compression ratio is 12.9:1. The 77mm bore allows for a thicker, stronger cylinder using the stock sleeves and minimizes cylinder distortion. The stock counterbalancer is eliminated, the holes in the pan and case can be easily plugged with our kit. The cams used are Muzzys' X-1 grind. A slightly more aggressive X-3 grind is available but the X-1's were used to provide a little more midrange. (as if anybody needed MORE midrange!). The valve springs are Muzzys and must be used with the Muzzys cams. The cylinder head passed through the hands of Rob Muzzy himself for that extra special port and 5 angle valve job. Carburetors are Keihin 41mm Flat slides with K&N filters and the ignition is one of Muzzys Dyna 2000 units. Prodigious amounts of spent gases are directed overboard by way of a Muzzys 4-2-1 stainless steel megaphone exhaust. A Tsubaki 530 chain and Renthal sprockets (we have 'em) puts 165 hp to the Dunlop 207 rear tire. Braking is enhanced by a set of small diameter (better feel) braided stainless steel, vinyl clad, Teflon brake lines, and stainless steel spools in the swingarm allow the use of a Muzzys race stand.
