High Performance Camshafts

MUZZYS offers a variety of camshafts for the Kawasaki ZX 6,7,9,10, and 11. From "drop-in" street cams to all out "works" grinds, the Muzzy cam is carefully designed to really work and not just try and impress you with big lift and duration numbers. Our record speaks for itself, Muzzy power wins races. Regrinds require your cores and MUZZY adjustable hub kits are highly recommended wherever applicable. Timing figures are constantly being updated for ultimate performance gains and reliability.

 

Adjustable Cam Sprocket Hub Kit

ZX-6, ZX-7 and ZX-9 engines incorporate pressed-on cam drive sprockets in their stock form. This makes adjusting cam timing a very difficult and time consuming procedure. The MUZZY cam hub kit makes it easy for the engine builder to time the cams in the conventional manner with slotted sprockets.

Note: For an additional charge, MUZZYS will press off your old sprockets and install the adjustable sprocket kit on your cams.

 

ZX-11 Stroker Kit



Want the ultimate ZX-11? Make your ZX-11 an 1140cc monster with a 77 mm bore and a 3mm stroke increase. Send us your crankshaft, we'll move the crankpins 1.5mm, regrind and balance your crank. Use our 77 mm piston kit and stock head gasket, the supplied aluminum deck spacer and you've got an 1140. Major torque increase, very streetable. Some minor case clearance grinding required.

 

Connecting Rods


As used on our 180 hp ZX-11 Bonneville and Mini-Sprint engines, these 4340 chrome moly forged rods are the ultimate in strength and efficiency. Unique knife beam shape minimizes aero and oil windage power loss. Small end feature a bronze bushing to avoid pin gauling. Bolts are high strength aerospace alloy 12 point capscrews. Available for most Japanese engines.

 

Piston Kits
MUZZYS offers a complete line of overbore piston kits for a variety of Kawasaki applications. These pistons are made to MUZZYS' exacting requirements for each application. We offer pistons in the sizes that we feel work the best and offer the most reliability. Don't be fooled by the "bigger is better" hype. MUZZYS kits will make more power, period. MUZZYS pistons are forged from the highest quality aluminum alloys and are machined to optimum compression ratios.

 

Engine Case Plug Kit
Includes a CNC machined alternator plug with engraved MUZZYS logo and starter eliminator plug. Just the thing for non-street road race or drag race engines. Safely plugs case holes and avoids oil leaks. The professional way to do it!

 

Adjustable Timing Advancer
Most stock or Supersport engines do not need a change in the ignition advance curve, but certain applications do require changes, either advanced or retarded from stock. If you desire the ability to adjust your ignition advance to suit your individual combination, MUZZYS offers this high quality ADJUSTABLE advancer. Available for most current sportbikes.
